TOURNAMENT RULES
Normal high school rules apply.

Home team supplies the game ball.
Home teams wears light colored jerseys. Away teams wear dark colored jerseys.

DIVISIONS ARE BASED ON THE AGE THAT A PLAYER WILL BE ON AUGUST 31ST OF THE CURRENT CALENDAR YEAR.

(i.e. - If a player turns 12 years old on August 31st, the player qualifies for the 12U division. If a player turns 13 years old on September 1st, the player also qualifies for the 12U division. However, a player who turns 13 years old, on or before August 31st, should play in the 13U division as the player does not qualify to play 12U.)

Players are allowed to play up, but are not allowed to play down in a division.

All Coaches/Team coordinators should have copies of players' birth certificates and/or report cards with them at the tournament.

Roster Form:
Please print a Tournament Roster Form, fill it out completely and bring it with you to sign-in table at least 30 minutes prior to your first game.

Protests:

In the event that a team/player is protested, you must be able to provide proof of age/grade. If your team is unable to provide the proper documentation: a Birth Certificate (*and Report Card for players playing down in high school divisions) your team will forfeit all games in which that player participated in.

Protest will require a $50.00 payment (non-refundable) due at the time of the protest. Protesting team must also be able to show proper documentation for all of their own players.

* High Schools players who are playing down must be age eligible and be able to provide a report card for proof of grade. AAU Rules apply.
Scorekeepers:

We will provide a scorekeeper/foul tracker for each game. However, it is encouraged that each team also provide their own scorekeeper/foul tracker to ensure that the scores and stats are accurate.
Game Rules:

o 20 minute halves- Clock stops in the last 2:00 of the game only *

o Timeouts- 2 per half (Timeouts do not carry over)

o Overtime- 1st OT 2:00 (stop clock). 1 full timeout.

o 2nd OT sudden death (no timeout in sudden death).

o No shot clock but 10 second back court violation.

* Game clock will continue to run in the last 2 minutes of the game if one team has a 20 point or greater lead.

Fouls:

o 7 Team Fouls = 1 and 1; 10 Team Fouls = 2 shots

o Player is disqualified after 5 personal fouls

o Technical fouls count as personal fouls

o Player or coach is disqualified after 2nd technical foul

o Technical fouls result in (2) shots and the ball

Free throws:

o Players can enter the lane when the ball is released.

Tie Breakers:

1. Head to Head

2. Margin of Victory (15 points max per game)**

3. Least points allowed.

4. Total points scored

** If there are three or more teams with the same win/loss records, the tie breaker will be Margin of Victory.
Ball size:

Boys

o 3rd Grade (9U) through 6th Grade (12U) - 28.5

o 7th Grade (13U) through 12th Grade (HS Varsity) - 29.5

Girls

o All Grades - 28.5


Players may not wear jewelry, bracelets, earrings, watches or similar items.

Disorderly or Hostile Behavior

o Any abuse of officials is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

o Any player, spectator, or coach involved in fighting, threatening or hostile behavior towards any person, on or off the court, shall be suspended for all remaining games and shall not be allowed to participate in all future tournaments.

o Any onlooker involved in fighting, threatening or hostile behavior towards another person shall not be allowed in or around any gym or future tournaments.

o No profanity will be allowed from spectators, players or coaches.

o Any spectator causing a problem will be asked to leave the gym, by lead official or tournament director.

o If that person does not leave immediately, police will be called.


Tournament Director has the right to modify tournament rules and regulations to best meet the needs of ALL TEAMS participating in our tournaments.
